Global Supported Outreach
We sponsor three World Vision Children. A girl from Kenya, a boy from Malawi, and a girl from Uganda. They are all from Africa. One of the most powerful ways you can fight poverty is to sponsoring a child. Being a Child Sponsor today changes the world for that child. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. As a sponsor, we help provide a child with access to life-changing basics like nutritious food, clean water, healthcare, and education. We also help families and communities lift themselves out of poverty by providing job training, business coaching, small loans, along with training to help poverty-affected farmers learn new ways to irrigate and grow crops which overall the bottom line is that it saves lives.
World Vision serves all people, regardless of their faith. They work in communities where they are welcome, including many where other faiths are practiced. By their actions they practice and communicate their faith in ways that are sensitive and appropriate for the audience and the cultural context in which we work. But we never deny our Christian faith. They respect the communities where we work, while making it clear that we are a Christian organization. Still they pray for all people to whom they minister and hope, in restricted contexts, that their lives and deeds will be testimony to the power of the Gospel.

David and Joyce Moore are founders of Abba House. Being retired and traveling discovered the sex tourism problem in Thailand. This broke their heart and they created the Abba House Foundation for the express purpose of setting at liberty the pre and post captive sex slave HIV Children of Thailand, by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Love of Jesus for the Glory of God the Father. Providing housing, food, education and training in conversational English and Spiritual devotions. We are an evangelical ministry being obedient to the command of Jesus in Mark 16:15 saying “Go ye into all the world”. Abba House is a soul winning ministry, not simply humanitarian. They do not receive a salary for their work in Thailand but live off their retirement.
Abba House is home to boys ages 8 to 22 who have been trafficked in downtown Chiang Mai, Thailand. Left homeless and hungry, they are forced to sell their bodies for a bowl ofrice. At times they are beaten up and tortured; some have HIV, few can barely read or write. AH teaches life skills such as construction, motorcycle repair, jewelry crafts for half the day. The other half they have Bible School education, Music and English. (New Life Annex Program)
They found that some of these street boys and men have recently been released from various prisons finding themselves deserted. They walk five miles to the tourist scenes to try and find work but find HIV instead. AH has recently built a half-way house we call Freedom Christian Center (FCC) to offer shelter, life skills, a 2 year program of Christian life foundations and then job placement.
Abba House also reaches girls, ages 8 to 22, At Risk to the sex slave Industry of Asia. Some are orphaned (with parental death certificates as proof), daughters of working prostitutes, raped, abandoned or unwanted. At risk to falling into a life of forced prostitution but they are now safely in the care of Abba House. These children are given renewed hope, their lives forever changed through love, respect and education. They go to several different school systems in Chiang Mai depending on their needs. (Girls at Risk)
Abba House has program groups that are taught to minister the Word of God at various outreaches such as schools, universities, HIV children’s homes, tribal villages, handicapped children’s homes, prisons, drug rehabs and elder homes. Several of these reached find Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, are water Baptized and mentored. Their goal is to become future evangelists of Jesus Christ in Thailand.

Around the world, women are hiding. Some hide behind veils so thick that not even their eyes are visible. Others are hiding in their homes, afraid to come out for fear of being raped or killed in time of war, or disfigured just because they dare to go to school. Hundreds of women have been burned alive by their own relatives in the name of “family honor.” Still others hide inside themselves, beaten down by daily abuse and neglect which hollows out the joy in their eyes, leaving only a sense of duty to keep them alive.
Project Hannah’s founder, Marli Spieker, saw an Asian woman one day, covered head to toe in a black veil as she walked through 100-degree heat. Anger welled up in Marli and she felt God telling her: “Do you see that black veil? It is not only over her head. It is over her mind, her heart, her family, her spirit, her whole life! This woman lives in darkness.” Marli responded, “Whatever I can do, I will do, to bring her to the light!”
But how can the light reach a woman who is hidden away, too isolated by culture, religion or fear to come in contact with the believers who can help change her life forever? Where circumstances create walls, Trans World Radio is breaking through in the form of Project Hannah and the Women of Hope radio program. Every day, listeners are learning about the God David writes of in the Psalms:“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit ” (Ps. 34:17-18).
Project Hannah seeks to meet the needs of the whole woman, providing practical advice, spiritual guidance and an international prayer movement.
God expresses in His Word the great love He has for the widows, orphans and oppressed in the world. He calls each one of us to provide these precious ones with the opportunity to hear the Word of God through the voice of love. We are His vessels to carry healing to the brokenhearted.

The Danny Ledbetter family travels to Haiti whenever possible. Below is Ronda Ledbetter sharing some experiences while there.
I want to share of my family in Haiti and we pray you will be led by the Spirit to become a part of the vision to bring redemption to Haiti! Your prayers are so powerful and so needed! Thank you for helping us go for the Lord in America & Haiti!
The land the orphanage was living on before we were able to get them into the “Redemption House” very barren, all they had was a tent to live in. As well as they had to walk for miles to get drinking water every day. When we first saw the orphanage we were with our precious friends the Kellings, they were from Monet, MO. Thank you Lord for bringing special people in our lives to serve you together. Here we made the decision that we must get them out of this desert. We immediately left and purchased them food for the whole week. Thank you Jesus!
When the Lord directed us to this orphanage they were with little if any food. I try to always carry something with me, this time I had a large bag of animal cookies. Praise the Lord, they were eaten in seconds and not one was dropped to the ground. They were so hungry.
I worked with some gentlemen making decisions for the new orphanage grounds. They are such sweet spirited men that God has given to help our work go easier in Haiti! In the end we were able to move to the new orphanage grounds and named it the “Redemption House.”
The children now play on a new clean floor, in the new house the Lord had just given them. They use to have nothing but dirt and thorns to walk on. Playing like this was not an option. Thank you Jesus!
As soon as they got them moved into their new home we then addressed their medical needs and had to provide medical baths and new clothes that God provided! They then watched as we delivered their beds and mattress. For most of these children this is the first bed they have ever had! Praise the Lord! After the delivery Ronda and the children had a prayer of thanks to the Lord for His goodness! They loved their beds, they were so happy!
There is a young Haitian lady, Mianda. She is such a huge part of our ministry in Haiti. She is a great interpreter, but even more so she is a spiritual giant with a heart for the children! O how thankful we are that God brought her to us! Please keep her in your prayers as it is very hard for us to be apart.
The ladies of “Redemption House” cook for the children! Food from heaven! Praise the Lord! In Haiti it is their custom to eat fish on good Friday, God made this possible, through you. Thank you & keep us in your prayers!
